Our canvas family consists of three companies: Posh Frocks and Wellies, Resonate Events and Canvas Co. With a focus on temporary structures, they provide venues for wedding receptions, back garden cinemas, bars and also boutique camping at British music festivals. 

Most of our work takes place during the summer as we provide luxury boutique camping accommodation to festivals and events all across the UK, our customers include bluedot, Glastonbury and Kendal Calling to name a few. We also hire luxury canvas marquees for weddings and private events across the North West as well as hire back garden cinema equipment and tents for small parties and back garden parties.

Warehouse worker and cinema installer

We have 2 positions available for this role.

We are an ever-growing trio of businesses that are currently in search of two unique people who would love a lively and varied role that involves both driving and warehouse work. There will be the occasional night away as some events are a distance away from our base in Macclesfield.

Initially, both positions will be temporary for 6 months but there is potential for the right person to stay on full time. Start date April 15th but this can be flexible for the right candidate.

This role flows across all three companies and consists of setting up marquee's for weddings, working in our warehouse helping to clean and prepare kit, installing back garden cinema setups at customers' houses, travelling to deliver kit to festivals and setting up tents at festivals. There will be lots of outdoor work and we need applicants to be physically fit.


Customer service Assistant

We are looking for a King or Queen of customer service for the office team. Come and work for us and join our small friendly, ambitious and fast growing group of companies.

4 month contract from 29th April to 20th September, 35 hours a week, but we can be flexible for the right person to work around school runs etc, mainly office based with a little bit of home based work.

Responsibilities for The Canvas Co:

  • Answering emails

  • General office admin

  • Preparing reception check in information for reception managers

  • Creating build lists for the site managers

  • Managing incoming bookings emails

  • Sort all bookings, put onto booking spreadsheets

  • Setting up Snafflz software for check in and sending out e-tickets (training provided for this)

  • During summer months while festivals are happening you will need to be able to answer questions from reception managers over the weekend (if all is planned and handed over correctly it shouldn't need to happen - but sometimes it does)

  • Answering the phone


Book Keeper / Office Manager

We are looking for an office manager to look after our administration, finance and staffing at our events and projects.

 Responsibilities:

  • Managing Customer Service enquiries both via email and phone

  • Administrative tasks such as booking transport, accommodation, meetings

  • Assisting the Staffing Manager with processing staff hours and paying staff on a weekly basis

  • Processing payroll and making payments

  • Day to day bookkeeping on Xero

  • Supplier payments

  • Managing a customer service assistant during our busy months (May to mid September)

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Clear communication and attention to detail

  • Confident when handling queries in person and over the phone

  • Great at planning and organisation, with the ability to work on your own initiative

  • People management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas

  • Meeting minutes writing

  • IT Skills, competent with Excel, Word etc.

  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • A bookkeeping qualification (AAT Level 2 or 3 or equivalent) will be desirable however we encourage those without this who have experience to apply

  • Previous experience with using Xero

  • Experience running payroll is desirable however training can be given for the right candidate

Warehouse / Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced warehouse and operations manager to run our warehouse in Macclesfield. You'll need excellent interpersonal skills as you'll be the key link between our warehouse and ensuring that the crew have what they need on site.  This role is for someone with a keen eye for planning, incredibly well organised, and a brain built for logistics!

A well managed warehouse is critical to the success of our business, and we are looking for an experienced manager to lead the operation in elevating the performance and working environment whilst adopting our company’s values.

You must be able to work independently, as well as with other team members to uphold our high standards for both customer and staff experience. Initially this will be an 8 month contract, running from March 4th to November 8th 2024, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is a varied role that will include:

  • Office computer based planning

  • Managing the warehouse crew and planning the daily, weekly and monthly schedules of work

  • Physical work packing boxes and loading trucks

Logistics Planning:

  • Stock control

  • Truck haulage scheduling and booking

  • Logistics planning

  • Liaising with the site managers, discussing logistics plans and ensuring they have everything they need to get the job done

  • Admin work updating spreadsheets: there will be lots of quick changes once the summer is rolling

Warehouse managing:

  • Work schedules

  • Load lists

  • Warehouse crew managing

  • Managing all goods in and out of our warehouse

  • Managing a small warehouse team
