Glamping at VFM Scooter Rally 2026
BOUTIQUE CAMPING at THE VFM Isle OF WIGHT SCOOTER RALLY 2026
The Isle of Wight is the biggest scooter rally in the world with up to 10,000 scooterists descending on the island for a weekend of fun over the August bank holiday every year.
The main focus of the event is at Sandown Airport with bands, DJs and a massive area with stalls selling everything from scooter parts to clothing, books, magazines and other memorabilia. Bands in the 2024 edition included Angelo, brother of the late Edwin Starr who performed all his classics, plus a Stone Roses tribute band. A custom show takes place on the Saturday morning which showcases some stunning Vespas and Lambrettas, many of them gold plated, engraved and featuring bespoke accessories.
A huge rideout takes place at lunchtime on the Sunday, with thousands of scooters gathering in Ryde alongside thousands of visitors who line the streets to wave them off. They usually ride through the beautiful country lanes and end up back at the rally hub in Sandown.
Entertainment is also laid on for scooterists in many of the larger towns around the island, particularly Ryde, where a popular meeting place is on the green next to the pier.

Shower facilities are available onsite shared with the general campsite, they will cost £2 per shower.
Toilets will be shared with the general campsite.
Parking onsite
Scooters can be parked by the tents (both glamping and regular camping). Cars will need to be parked and left in the car park area, which actually is only a few hundred metres from the glamping area :)
