Boomtown Festival returns to Matterley Estate in Hampshire from Wednesday 12th to Sunday 16th August 2026, and this year promises to be the most ambitious edition yet. Dubbed "Chapter Five: Radical Redesign," the festival is making noises about a return to the much-loved format of its early years with an expanded site, new districts, and what organisers are calling their most diverse lineup ever.

The Lineup: A Musical Journey Across Every Genre

Belfast rap trio Kneecap, New York glam-pop icons Scissor Sisters, and ska legends Madness are leading a genre-spanning bill of over 40 acts in the first wave announcement. This marks a significant shift for the festival, with co-founder Luke Mitchell explaining the new direction: "While bass music has dominated in recent years and will always be at our core, we're making a conscious move to keep Boomtown musically diverse and unpredictable."

Headliners & Top Billing

The stellar lineup features an eclectic mix that showcases Boomtown's commitment to musical diversity:

Electronic Heavyweights: Skrillex and Four Tet will bring cutting-edge electronic sounds, while British dance pioneers Faithless will celebrate their 30th anniversary at the festival. German happy hardcore legends Scooter will make their Boomtown debut.

Live Bands & Rock: Heavy hitters Skindred, ska-punk favourites Less Than Jake, and rising UK punk acts High Vis and Big Special will deliver high-energy performances across the expanded site.

Hip-Hop & Rap: Beyond Kneecap's politically-charged performances, the lineup includes Jamaican star Shaggy, US rapper Eve, Havoc of Mobb Deep featuring Big Noyd and DJ L.E.S, Princess Nokia, and celebrated artist Sampa the Great.

Dance & Sound System Culture: Mungo's Hi Fi Allstars, Gentleman's Dub Club & Friends, and reggae force Alborosie & Shengen Clan will represent sound system culture, while Groove Armada, Floating Points, and Shy FX round out the electronic offerings.

Pure Fun: Party-starters Vengaboys and Elvis-Nirvana tribute act Elvana promise doses of unbridled nostalgia and entertainment.

With over 500 artists performing across 27 main stages and 80 interactive street venues spanning more than 80 musical genres, there's truly something for every music lover.
